About the Journal

Ecuadorian Journal of Political Science is an academic publication issued biannual, organized and sponsored by the Ecuadorian Association of Political Science. The journal is aimed at disseminating scientific knowledge on the different problems of the political nature that afflict contemporary societies regardless of their geographical location. However, we are open to contributions from a historical perspective or from different scopes of political theory or philosophy. On a methodological level, the Ecuadorian Journal of Poliitcal Science seeks to position itself as a space in which various ways of accessing knowledge can converge under the premise that there are no better or worse tools of this type, but rather some that apply better than others based on research questions. Therefore, the Ecuadorian Journal of Political Science aims to position itself as an inclusive space for the exchange of ideas built with academic rigor. The journal is destined for students, profesionals of the social sciences, consultants and political analysts, and, in general, to a broader group interested in comtemporary political phenomenons in Ecuador and in Latin America.

Hence, all manuscripts received are subjected to a peer-review process, according to international standards. Given the academic nature of the Ecuadorian Association of Political Science, the journal follows Open Access practices. Additionally, the authors should not pay any economic value to submit their respective manuscripts to the review process.
